Tea Workshop at Jardin Tan

Legend has it that tea was first discovered over 5000 years ago when the wind blew tea leaves into Chinese Emperor, Shen Nung's, pot of boiling water. The rest, as they say, is history, and the past has evolved to a rich and diverse tea culture.
Since, the Chinese have mastered the processing of tea and oxidation, resulting in six different tea families: white, green, yellow, oolong, red and dark.
In the lush and green surrounds of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Jardin Tan explores the wonder of tea in a tea masterclass series led by Vue de monde’s own Tea Sommelier, Thibaut Chuzeville.
Brew, taste and appreciate much-loved classics, as well artisan varieties sure to liven up your regular rou-tea-ne.
The series dates are:
- 15 September, 3pm and 5pm - Oolong and Yellow teas
- 6 October, 3pm and 5pm - Black and Aged Teas
Masterclasses are $50 per person and include petit fours and a gift bag.
