2014 Philippe Alliet 'Chinon' Coteau de Noire

2014 Philippe Alliet 'Chinon' Coteau de Noire

2014 Philippe Alliet 'Chinon' Coteau de Noire

$84.00

Philippe Alliet is a remarkable producer, a family and generational affair passed down along to Claude, Philippe and their son Pierre, who inherited the responsibility of the winery in 1983. The Alliet family organically farms their wines on a small-scale 18 hectares vineyard, meaning an incredibly small production rate and a focus on quality over quantity, and phenomenal attention to detail.

Carlos says: "Now this is a wine that is absolutely delicious. An earthy wine with plenty of leather, pencil shavings, graphite, and classic Loire Valley red wine aromas like green bell pepper, red and black fruits (currants, plums, cherries etc.).

Cabernet Franc is a medium-bodied red wine, and this one goes beautifully with barbecued eye fillet and charred capsicums."
